Summer Blush!

Guys, I found an amazing summer blush, and I'm obsessed!
Since I did a post on a great bronzer for achieving a glowy/bronzed summer makeup look, I thought it was only right I did one on a blush for it as well! :) This summer I've been loving the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in the color Exposed.

The color is incredible. It really helps make your makeup look even more like you are on summer holiday. The Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Exposed isn't too pink either. With a lot of the blushes I've tried out in the past, I always feel like I'm either putting too little or too much and then having to wipe it off so I don't completely look like a clown, haha, but with this shade it's easier to apply without worrying about it overwhelming the makeup look.

If you are looking for more of a natural blush this summer, I definitely recommend it!

The blush lasts really well throughout the day even in this heat! :) I've been wearing it for over a month now and I've never had to worry about reapplying throughout the day.

If you have dry skin like me, I usually recommend only creamy blushes like the Nars Multiple Sticks, but this is definitely the least drying powder based blush I've ever tried, it's perfect for all skin types!

Finding Your Drugstore Red

Hey guys! For one of this week's posts I thought I'd share my top four favorite drugstore red lipsticks! Sometimes looking at the drugstore's lipstick section can be so overwhelming! I feel like we never know whether to just go for the products we see advertised the most on television or to search for some of the hidden treasures! I've tried out a lot of different drugstore red lipsticks throughout the years. A lot of other brands can be really expensive and not always convenient to keep repurchasing! Kate Rimmel's Matte Lipstick in 111 Kiss of Life, Revlon's Ultra HD red lipstick in Gladiolus, Maybelline's Color Sensational in the color 890 Neon Red, and CoverGirl's Colorlicious Lipstick in Succulent Cherry 295 are definitely my top 4 drugstore red lipsticks!

All four are amazing shades of red, but if I had to pick one, I would pick Kate Rimmel's Kiss of Life! The color is seriously what I would describe as the perfect red. It's a little bit darker than the other three but not too overwhelming in color. It stays on so well and looks incredible on! However, I do tend to reach for it more often in the winter!

If you are looking for more of a summery red I would say Revlon's Ultra HD red lipstick in Gladiolus is the best choice! It's so moisturizing and has a really pretty bright red shade to it. Especially on a hot day where you're afraid of your lipstick fading or getting everywhere, I think Gladiolus is easiest to apply without worry!

I've personally always loved lipsticks that have a bit of an orangey shade to them, especially this time of year! If you're looking for more of an orangey-red, I recommend Maybelline's Color Sensational in Neon Red 890. It's definitely the lightest red out of the four.

Another drugstore favorite of mine is CoverGirl's Colorlicious Lipstick in Succulent Cherry 295! The lipstick is so moisturizing and easy to apply, and I never have to put on too much to get a pretty red shade!

When it comes to drugstore red lipsticks, these are definitely my top four and the ones I repurchase most often! Let me know which drugstore reds are your favorites!

Bronzed in Bobbi Brown

Hey guys! So sorry I haven't posted in a while, it was the end of the school year and finals were killing me. Now that it's finally summer I've decided to start posting twice a week, let me know what you guys think or what posts you're interested in seeing! :)

I thought a bronzer review would be the perfect start to my summer posts, especially since this summer I've been going for more of a natural bronzed/glowy makeup look. The past year I feel like I've been pretty much strictly using my Nars Paloma bronzer, which I love, but I really wanted to try out a new one for the summer. Recently I got my makeup done at Bobbi Brown and the makeup artist used this amazing bronzer for me! It's Bobbi Brown's Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Bali Brown, which I think is the perfect name. By the way, wouldn't you guys love to pick makeup names? I've always wondered who does that, and if it's actually a job on its own?! Anyways, back to the bronzer, haha. It honestly looks like you are on vacation getting the perfect glow!

What I love about it is that you barely need to apply any! Just a small amount gives the perfect sunkissed-glow. Which means that I don't have to spend too much time applying it and then fixing my makeup if it gets too dark, which is great for when I don't want to spend too much time on my makeup! It doesn't dry out your skin either so if you have a dry skin type like me, then it is perfect!

I was afraid that it would be too over the top, especially with the almost glittery shimmer in the bronzer, but it looks really natural and the little shimmer makes it even prettier on your skin! This is definitely going to be my new summer go-to bronzer!

Let me know if you guys try it out or what bronzers you have been loving this summer! :)

Lush Favorites!

The Lush obsession is real guys. I love things that smell amazing and I've been loving taking baths lately, so Lush is love. Seriously, their bath bombs smell so good, and they are so incredibly cute. I thought I'd share some of my current favorites with you guys! My last trip to Lush I decided to just get all new bath bombs I hadn't tried before. Not gonna lie, I definitely grabbed a basket and got overly-excited, then proceeded to put too many into the basket. But I realized how expensive it would be and had to put a lot back....but I'm really happy with the ones I chose :)

I tried out the Honey Bee bath bomb for the first time and it was amazing! I know it doesn't look too exciting like their other bath bombs and it's easy to miss, but I am so glad I gave it a try! It's made with aloe vera too, so it is really soothing. The only downside was that it made the bath turn a yellow color, but it is definitely worth it for the smell.

Their Twilight bath bomb is one I've been recommended to try so many times, but never really got around to. The girls that worked at the store told me to try it out at night, because it is really calming. It really was relaxing and I love anything lavender, so it was perfect.

Bubbles. Bubbles. Bubbles! As much as I love Lush's bath bombs, I definitely wish they would make them with bubbles too. I tried out Pop In The Bath, and I wasn't expecting many bubbles but it actually made a good amount! It was one of the most relaxing bath's I've tried!

And here is my favorite :) Sex Bomb is one I'd heard about from fellow bloggers, so I decided to give it a try, and it is probably in my top two. It makes your skin feel really good and smells amazing, but it's unique because not only does it look super cute but it leaves really pretty tiny rose pedals in the bath which I think is such a cute idea! If you guys pick one of these to try out, I definitely recommend you try out this one!

The other bubble bar I tried out was A French Kiss. It's really small, but actually creates a good amount of bubbles! I prefer the Pop In the Bath bubble bar, but I will definitely be re-trying this one as well!

The last current favorite I have is the Butterball bath bomb, which I don't have a picture of because I tried it out before getting a chance to take a picture :) Out of all the bath bombs I have tried at Lush, Butterball felt the nicest on my skin. It literally feels like you have butter on your skin afterwards-- in the best possible way.

Also, recently I decided to try one of their other non-bath products and purchased one of their massage bar, and it smells amazing! So if you guys ever wanna try out anything else at their store, the "yes" massage bar is a great choice. It has a really nice jasmine scent and it's made with cocoa butter so it's really moisturizing!

I don't know about you guys, but I tend to be a very stressed out person, so finding a way to really relax is always important. Besides being fun to shop for, I think taking a bath is a great way to take a break from you day and I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a way to de-stress.

Let me know if you guys try out any of these products, and I'd love to hear some of your favorite Lush products!

Spring Shoes

Spring is in full swing, and I've been finding so many must-have shoes, too many actually ;) The past month I've been especially loving Madewell's spring additions. I've always wanted a pair of oxfords, but could never find any I really loved. When I saw the white Clare oxford from Madewell, I fell in love with it right away! They're simple oxfords, but the white color made them a little unique and perfect for spring! I think they will add the perfect finish to any spring outfit!

I've been loving white this spring! All white outfits, white dresses, white ripped jeans, white nail polish, etc. I don't know what it is, but I feel like white can just make an outfit classy and bold, just like black, but brighter and fun to play with during spring.

I picture wearing these oxfords with light jean-colored boyfriend jeans rolled up at the bottom, cute shorts, or even a fun summer dress! They're perfect for summer vacation too because they are super comfortable and effortless way to make your outfit stand out.

Let me know what shoes or other pieces have been inspiring you all this spring! :)

December Favorites !

Hey everyone! So this month has been filled with lots of favorites, especially beauty favorites! The first couple of products I've tried out and loved this month are Estee Lauder's More Than Mascara in the color Rich Black 01. For me, throughout the years, finding a mascara that really shows itself has been a hard task. A lot of time I feel like you can't even tell I'm wearing any! Which, especially when it comes to bold makeup looks, is not the best look. This mascara has been working really well so far! It really shows itself and if you want an even bolder look you can apply it over a different mascara as well.

Revlon's Not Just Nudes Cream eyeshadow palette is definitely a palette I will continue using! It comes with four basic colors, with some darker brown shades at the end. This palette has been perfect for everyday uses, especially school when I want to add a little eye makeup, but keeping a natural look. Also, you don't have to worry about applying an eyeshadow base when applying these, which is always great :)

Another beauty favorite I've been loving in December is an old favorite, Mac's Ruby Woo. Out of all the red shades I've tried, this has become my favorite. It is the perfect shade of red, especially for this time of year. However, it is super drying and hard to apply, but if you apply Chapstick over the top it helps make it glossier and easier to apply :)

My skin favorites of the month have been Nars luminous moisture cream and aqual gel luminous mask. Personally, my skin is super dry especially in the t-zone area especially this time of year, so when I apply my foundation, it sticks to my skin and is more visible. Applying the moisture cream before using foundation has helped make my face makeup more natural. Also, I've been loving using the mask every night before I sleep! It is not too heavy, so I don't wake up with oily skin either. I definitely recommend using this product if you have dry skin!

My nail favorite of the month has been Essie's Bahama Mama. It is from an older collection, but I have definitely been loving it again this month! It is a great dark plum color, which works really with this season's trends.

This month I have found a new favorite at Bath and Body Works, their Sparkling Icicles candle. It is a really fresh, holiday candle. It's perfect for the bathroom, but also works really well in any bedroom or really anywhere around the house :)

These hinge boots have been my go-to ankle boots this month! They are really comfortable for ankle boots and are a little different than the typical boot which is always nice :)

Let me know if you try out any of these favorites, and I would love to hear some of your favorites in the comments below!

Christmas Gift Ideas!

I thought I'd share some fun gift ideas under $20 with you guys! It is the most wonderful time of the year, but I know how hard it can be to find the perfect gift, especially under a budget. I personally love putting a few things together in a cute arrangement! Some of these ideas can be used as stocking stuffers as well! Most of the presents are perfect Christmas presents for girls! Let me know if you would like to see a post on Christmas gift ideas for boys as well!

One of my personal favorites are these adorable festive socks! Bath and Body works always has the most comfortable and softest socks around this time of year! They are the first thing I look for on Black Friday! :) Living in a dorm room it can get cold, so these socks work really well. If you know a college student, these are great gifts for them or for anyone else! They are $8.50 and can be the perfect stocking stuffer or I personally add them to a gift, for example with some of the other items listed below.
Another great item to add to your gift is a Christmas coffee mug! I picked this one up from Target and am in love with it! It adds the cutest touch to a present! You could also put hot chocolate ingredients inside and give it as a present that way! Sometimes I like to put mini candles or socks or other small presents inside so they find all their other presents inside the mug! All the Christmas mugs at Target range from $2-$4.
Bath and Body Work's hand sanitizers are something you can add to your present as well! I bought a few to add to each of my friends' gifts. If you are looking for one final thing to add to the present, these work great! They can also be adorable stocking stuffers! Each hand sanitizer costs about $1.95.
Some other items I have been adding to my friends' presents this year are car scents! If you know a new driver a cute idea might be a portable car winter scent! Also, because dorms do not allow candles I bought holiday room sprays. If you are buying a present for a college student, this is a great option!
Room spray- $5
Portable Car Scent-$3.50
Gift bag- $3
(Bath and Body Works)
If you are buying candles for anyone, you could also add a festive box of matches to go with it! It helps add an extra something to your present if you feel like you want to add more.
Matches - $3
Gift bag- $2
(Bath and Body Works)

Holiday scented body lotions or hand creams are great gifts or stocking stuffers for girls as well! I've been adding them to presents a lot this year! For example, you could give someone Christmas socks, with hand lotion, a holiday spray, and hand sanitizer and arrange it in a cute Christmas bag! It will seem like you got a lot, without spending too much! Or you could pick one or two of those items and arrange them together!
Hand Cream - $5
(Bath and Body Works)
A really fun/dorky gift idea is these glasses from Target! Or, if you are hosting a Christmas party with your friends, you could get them each one for the party!
Glasses- $1
(Target)

Let me know if you guys try out any of these gift ideas!
